Thank you to all who attended Tuesday's meeting at Mannes and to Ed Scarcelle and everyone at Mannes for hosting us.

About twenty people attended and enjoyed bagels and pastries before hearing about plans to move Mannes to the New School Campus into a new (to be constructed) mid-rise on the New School Campus. The new building will include the Harry Scherman Library and the Mannes New School of Music. Ed took attendees on a thorough and interesting tour of the Scherman Library, which is an impressive example of how best to utilize a small and awkward space. Thank you again Ed and best wishes for the future of Mannes and the Scherman Library!

So far, only 32 members have paid dues for the 2007-2008 academic year. Our treasurer, Bob Terrio, sent out an email to those of you who have not paid dues. For information on how to submit dues, see our homepage. Please send any questions regarding membership dues to Bob directly.

Rebecca Koblick, our secretary, shared some possibilities for future meetings, which include the instrument collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Pierpont Morgan Library, and other fascinating options. Please stay tuned!
