The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by chapter vice president, Peter Hirsch.

Jon Stroop announced and presented the chapter's new web page. He welcomed any feedback regarding the site.

Peter Hirsch welcomed ideas regarding the future of the chapter - should it continue on as is, or should we be taking a different direction.

John Shepard suggested using the listserv to share ideas

Joe Boonin suggested outreach to public libraries in the area. He made the point that the elimination of subject specialists might provide opportunities for professional music librarians to share their expertise with librarians who may be responsible for reference services in a variety of disciplines. He also mentioned the possibility of getting paraprofessionals more involved in the organization.

Mi-Hye Chyun, the secretary/treasurer, disclosed the chapter's financial status. As the chapter has a substantial balance, it could be used for any number of productive purposes. One suggestion involved a travel award to help support paraprofessionals who otherwise would not be able to attend the national MLA conferences.
